Kinda Dark for a Comedy Soundtrack

"Soul To Squeeze" is about addiction which is kind of dark to be featured on the soundtrack of an SNL skit turned movie.

Red Hot Chili Peppers "Soul To Squeeze" was recorded during the Blood Sugar Sex Magik sessions in 1991, but it didn't make it onto the album. It was featured as the B-side to the singles "Give It Away" and "Under the Bridge." "Soul To Squeeze" was released as a single in 1993 after appearing on the SNL skit turned feature film,  Coneheads Soundtrack. 
The song was a surprise success for the band peaking at #1 on the Alternative Songs chart, #7 on the Mainstream Rock, and #26 on the Mainstream Top 40.
Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman, Anthony Kiedis, wrote this song about his struggle with addiction from an early age. Seems kinda heavy for a comedy soundtrack. 
The video features the band members playing "freaks" and makes references to coneheads and SNL's Chris Farley makes a cameo.
