Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Montravius Adams was arrested and charged with three midsemeanors this week. On Tuesday, police in Houston County, Georgia booked Adams on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. Adams posted bond will have a court date set.
The Packers say they are aware of the situation but they won't have any other comment because it is a pending legal matter.
Adams is entering his fourth year with the team and after injuries slowed his career early he was expected to play a key role on the team's defensive line last season. After starting a couple of games, his production trailed and he saw very limited playing time.
Charles Walls is leaving the organization and heading to the Cleveland Browns. The area scout will become Cleveland's national college scout. Walls had been with the Packers for seven years, working under both Ted Thompson and Brian Gutekunst, serving the past five seasons as the Southwest area college scout.
